We’re coming home!
Ten years ago, the Living Arts made our home in the Trotter building at 410 W Geer St.
Since 2020, our planted roots uplifted, prompting us to spread across many places as we deepened relationships and strengthened ongoing programming. Now, we are returning to a place that’s ours, and will be yours too…
This September, we moved back into our home on Geer – the Living Arts Center – to expand our reach and weave together connection, creativity, and collaboration at the intersection of arts and wellness in Durham.

Living Arts Collective (LAC) is a vibrant co-creative arts hub in Durham dedicated to cultivating artistic expression, embodied practice, and authentic community connection. Founded in 2016 by Aubrey Roze, the Collective brings together artists, movers, musicians and wellness practitioners in an inclusive space rooted in collaboration and radical hospitality. Through classes, workshops, performances, and community gatherings, LAC supports creative exploration across disciplines – dance, visual art, music, and healing arts – while uplifting diverse voices and fostering a welcome environment for all ages and backgrounds.

We are a hub for the exchange of resources, practices and ideas to develop socially progressive strategies to foster conscious living and cultural preservation.
