This Friday | Get ready for an enchanting dance experience this as the Living Arts Collective proudly hosts the Hillsborough Independent Dance Artists (HIDA) in River Park, part of the Last Friday offerings.

LIVING ARTS IN RIVER PARK:
5-6 PM - Plant Walk with Root 2 Rise Wellness
6-7 PM - LAC Community Drumming (facilitated by professionals)
7-7:30 PM - HIDA Improv Dance Performance with Live Music!
7:30-9 PM - Living Arts Dancewave
+ Family ART Area & food by Vegan Flava Cafe!

Whatever your experience or comfort level, this is your opportunity to move, dance, be in nature, relax and create as you wish within an inter-generational community space. All ages are welcome, especially elders and children.

Join us in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month!
~ Shekere workshop with percussionist Baba Bradley Simmons from 3:30 – 4:30
~Afro-Cuban dance with baba Vladimir Espinosa from 4:45 – 6:15 PM
General Admission: $20 per participant per class or
$30 for both classes

As the cleansing wind and cool rain are present during this seasonal shift, may we shake off the old and tend to the inner flame.🕯️
May we embrace the longer nights and shorter days as an opportunity to celebrate the nourishment from this summers harvest and invite reflections and practices that tend to your individual and our collective well-being. Embracing the still dormancy of the cycles to come. We are nature.

Aubrey and Bruce, the founders + facilitators of LAC, are getting married! People have inquired about how to show their support and care for the newlyweds. As the LAC is in process of looking for land for a longtime home for events and retreats, Contributions/Sustainerships to the LAC are requested.

Living Arts Dancewave:

Inspired by Ecstatic Dance through the lens of Ousia (oo-see-ah), the
Living Arts Dancewave is an immersive dance experience with curated music woven in a wave format.
Inclusive and intergenerational embodied space for people to move freely and express themselves creatively.
Dancewaves start slowly, build to a peak and then return to stillness, during which time you will get to experience the euphoria of music, rhythm and connection. We co-create an environment intentionally free from verbal conversation and cell phones to support a more fully embodied experience.
The Living Arts Collective facilitates experiences that are welcoming of all ages, physical bodies, cultural backgrounds, identities and dance abilities. We stand in authentic, lasting solidarity with our BIPOC & LGBTQ+ friends and family.

Dance Space Offerings:
•Seasonal Altar: Embracing the OUSIA wheel of nature's cycles. You are invited to bring an offering to the shared altar co-built.
•Art Station: Write, draw, play with colors!
•Card Collection: Inspirational decks for you to choose from
•Resting Nook: Pillows and blankets provided for your ease and comfort at rest
•Closing Harvest Circle: A potent time to share briefly from the day's Dancewave experience, if you choose.
•CARE TO SHARE Table: You are invited to bring something of value to share and and take home something that you’d enjoy.
