9pm – 12am – The Pleasure Party @ the Mothership – Open to Retreat Participants and your guests only*!! This will be a space of play, exploration, and discovering new pleasure practices for erotic exchanges, sex and kink. Sex will not be permitted on premises.
*Once you have completed registration and payment you will be provided with a guest access link. Guest admittance to the Pleasure Party is $15-$25 sliding scale. We ask that you arrive, take responsibility and leave with your guests!st Guests must pre-pay and register to attend. No walk ups will be allowed.
Monét Noelle Marshall is a performer, director, producer, writer, cultural organizer and creative consultant whose work sits at the nexus of equity, creativity and community-based practice. As an artist and facilitator, Marshall has shared her artistic approach to equity work with 1000s of people along the east coast. Past clients include Triangle Community Foundation, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Student U, Blackspace, Phil G. Freelon Foundation, Levin Jewish Community Center and the African American Policy Forum. She is presently the Founding Artistic Director of MOJOAA Performing Arts Company, producing new works by and new opportunities for Black playwrights. Marshall is the Founder and Lead Con(sulting) Artist at BaD Arts Consulting which helps creatives do better business and businesses be more creative. BaD Arts Consulting provides arts integrated solutions to creatives, businesses and nonprofits through consultation, event curation, marketing and facilitation. She activates the arts to engage communities in collective visioning, changemaking and joy as social action. Last year she received the Mary B. Regan Community Arts Fellowship from the North Carolina Arts Council and is an Independent Weekly Arts Award winner. Most importantly, she is Robin and Bryan’s daughter, Evelyne, George, Zelma and Bob’s granddaughter. She is sister, friend and partner who knows that art aint innocent, to be Black and creative is the same thing and that her grandmothers are artists. Candace Liger: a national spoken word artist, kink coach, and the dynamic trainer and founder of Felyne Fitness and Felyne Fetish, championing creative wellness practices, body activism, and PROACTIVE self care for the FIERCE ones. She is a queer black mama of 2 currently residing in Greensboro, NC. With over 8 years experience as a NASM health and fitness professional, her online platform allows her to virtually train busy professionals all over the world to help them conquer their health & fitness goals. Her goal is to encourage people to utilize fitness, nutrition, and erotic health as their first and proven priority when implementing self-care strategies. She is the creator of JahRation Nation Dance Fitness – a high- energy, DANCEHALL & AFROBEAT based class focusing on increasing cardio endurance, targeted toning, and conjuring an epic gyrating experience. Recognizing the need for communities to address holistic healing as a liberatory practice, her programming emphasizes accessing the erotic by uplifting consent beyond the binary. With over 10 years of experience working in the erotic space, she has hosted Kink , BDSM, and Erotic events throughout the US, and was recently featured on the Triad City Beat for her unique Felyne Fetish Fitness classes blending BDSM and Fitness. She is creator of Felyne Fetish aka. AfroDGak, an offering encouraging body autonomy, radical consent, kink education, and erotic consciousness within safe, artistically-inclined spaces. In 2014, she ranked 8th in the nation through the Women of the World Poetry Competition and has performed in Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Washington D.C, and more. . Additionally, she has used her dynamic voice as an active community leader extensively involved in initiatives including advocacy for folx of color, health promotion and education, and cultural art programs and performances.
