Sunday, April 14th, 4 – 6p

This Sunday, April 14th, Nathan Nirschl will be hosting a Contemporary master class that will be exploring forms in floorwork, improvisation, choreography, and performance.

Nathan is A Seattle Native that began his dance education at the age of 16. After working hard for three years in the Seattle area, Nathan was accepted by SUNY Purchase’s Dance Program for his BFA in dance Performance in Westchester, NY. During his 4 years studying there he became professionally proficient in a wide range of techniques including partnering, modern, ballet, composition, contemporary, dance theater, etc. Nathan was fortunate to attend multiple Summer programs that include Movement Invention Project, a 6 week Forsythe Intensive with San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Springboard Danse Montreal, and a study abroad at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. The choreographers Nathan has danced work from include Gregory Dolbashian, Evangelos Poulinas, William Forsythe, Sarah Mettin, Fernando Melo, Doug Varone, and many others. Since Graduating, Nathan has moved to New York City, become an artist for and the Manager of The DASH Ensemble in NYC, Gotten his certification as a Gyrotonic Instructor, taught at the Juilliard Summer Intensive, taught at the Graham school, done freelance performances for several artists, And choreographed at Lines Ballet after returning home for a 3 week teaching tour back in his hometown of Seattle. There he taught many workshops at studios and at Cornish College.
